How do you set your business apart from the competition?
Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance believes the small business owner deserves the same high quality service and attention as larger businesses. This is a unique in our industry, as independent agencies adopt internal proceedures that restrict the level of services offerred to policyholders which do not meet minimum revenue thresholds. We, on the other hand, believe if we help the small business owner grow, the long-term loyalty will exist when they eventually become a large client.

How has your business developed in the last year?
Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance grew by 32 percent in 2003 and now reports sales in excess of $24 million. The agency has doubled in size in the past four years alone. The agency is currently ranked third as one of the "Dynamic Dozen" - the 12 fastest growing companies in the region recognized by Springfield Business Journal.

What do you see for the future of your business?
We expect continued growth. The agency has made substantial investments in infrastructure and personnel in the past six years. We offer professional development programs to everyone in the company at the company's expense. As a result of these ongoing commitments to our employees, the agency is only beginning to reap the benefits of this critical investment. In addition, we have engaged in an eight year long training program which recruits people from outside the industry and offers them careers in the insurance business.
